Amid the coronavirus outbreak, COVID-19 around the world, 30-year-old British actor Daniel Radcliffe was the victim of a fake news involving his name to the virus, which quarantined Italy this week.
A profile called BBC Breaking News, unverified by Twitter and clearly unofficial of the broadcaster, made a post claiming that Harry Potter's interpreter is with the coronavirus:
"URGENT: Daniel Radcliffe gives positive for coronavirus. It is said that the actor is the first famous person to be publicly confirmed", says the post, which already has more than 1000 retweets and more than 1000 likes.
The author of the post even puts a link to a page of the BBC website, so internet users received news alerts.
With 45 tweets, the profile makes very random posts and has been on the air since 2014, meaning it has no real link with the BBC. It's all just false information.(Imagem: Internet)
